As more and more people are becoming sellers on eBay giving yourself another competitive edge can increase your branding efforts and sales but how is this possible?

Custom eBay Store Design, matching Auction Templates and even your own Custom Website (www.your-website.com) is the solution to take your business to the next level. By adding a custom logo and layout to your auctions you’re not only branding your business but letting your buyers know you are a professional and that you care enough to give them an easy to use, pleasant shopping environment.

The great thing other than standing out from your competition, about having Custom Design for your eBay Store and Auction listings is that you can pull your own personality into these des0069gns. Are you more serious, whimsical or does your <a href="http://1e50d1tsx94him66p3n35n7yce.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >niche business have its own personality? I bet if you look real close it does!

Proper text and keywords to use in your eBay Store and eBay Auction listings are very important so that people searching for what you offer will find the products. Put in some research here, it will pay off for you.

On the Internet, your business is among tens or hundreds or even thousands of the same types of business. In order to compete you have to stand out. And having the right design and marketing strategies can put you ahead of the competition.I’ve seen many websites that are ranked in the top 10 on all the major search engines but do not have what it takes to convert visitors to customers.

You need a website that is powerful, emotion evoking and shows the reader that his or her life would be more complete – better, easier, more productive, more profitable and happier – if that reader owned what it is you’re selling.

Your web design needs to move the reader while your content grabs them, working together they should build confidence in both your business and products. You have two seconds to tell your visitor what you sell and what’s in it for them. If that aligns with what they want, they’ll spend more time on your site and that should lead to more sales.

Using your Custom Website for eBay

Did you know you can use your own Custom Website for driving sales to your eBay store if you make yourself into the authority? Let’s say you sell garden gnomes, all shapes and all sizes then you more than likely know everything or most everything there is to know about garden gnomes. Take what you know and put this information on your website seeded with <a href="http://733015yl2l-jkh3cql-q0ndy5e.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >links through the <a href="http://18d00vws7e-hdjgbmm1jndcocg.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >article to your eBay Store and ending it with links to your eBay store. All of this is called pre-selling because people love and thrive on information, they want to be educated on how that garden gnome is made, where it’s made, what it’s made of, how long it will last and what benefits it will give them.

Once your website visitors are educated they click and go to your eBay Store which is branded with your Custom Logo and design which adds more credibility to you and they make the purchase from you, the authority on garden gnomes based on the information they previously read.

The bigger the better

Google loves big websites filled with useful information Having to be ranked on top search engines is more like an award for your as a thriving online marketer. There are a lot of marketers who also want to be listed and ranked in search engines. so the bigger you make your website and every new page you add to it is another opportunity for you to gain a new customer.

Brand Everything

I’m telling you if you are allowed to put your Custom Logo on it then make sure it’s there, your website, your eBay listings, your emails, business cards, etc. It’s common fact that banners are not the best way of advertising but when you see Amazon.com banners every where you look the next time you need a book you will think of Amazon.com because of all the branding they have done.

All of these can bring up the sales in your business considering that you are a power eBay user. There are a lot of things to do with them. Having to learn the basic instincts of surfers can give you a better understanding on how to market your products through your custom website. Also, having to sell something with a brand or anything that have good value is the things that count. What better way to have a steady <a href="http://6456ex0lub0djp3l2ln7xpqjdu.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >income by making polishing and learning the tricks of the trade.

Being an active eBayer, I am often being asked about products to sell. A common question is “Where can I purchase products such as new release CD’s DVD’s and Video Games for Playstation and Xbox at a 75% to 100% discount. Well folks, this sort of discount on this type of merchandise. It is not available from Wholesalers or Dropshippers. The reason is, being the competitive nature of the electronics industry, and simple supply and demand.

There are two types of buyers on eBay: those that sell stuff as they would in a garage sale and those that constantly buy and sell merchandise for profit. If you’re from the first category you don’t have to worry too much about what products to sell: you only have one or a couple of stuff any way.

If you are selling products for profit, however, there are some strategies that can help you generate increasing profits. There are also two categories of expert eBay sellers: the ones who buy large quantities of products and resell them and the ones who deal with original, hard to find, <a href="http://1e50d1tsx94him66p3n35n7yce.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >niche products. Let’s have a look at the first category:

Usually, when you buy large amounts of identical or similar items, you get a discount. This is true with most goods and it stands at the basis of numerous eBay business strategies. You can then take the products and list them for a higher price than what you paid, but also lower than the prices available in stores. Finding the right balance is essential, as you want to generate enough profit without listing a discouraging high price. You choice of products to sell is very wide here, and specializing on a certain type of merchandise is usually dependent on your personal choices.

The second group of eBay sellers deals with rare items or niece merchandise. Some examples of products that can be sold are china vases, antique books, action figures, model airplanes, archeological discoveries, meteors etc. The market for these products is smaller and more exclusive, but the prices are also higher and just one sale can bring you a small fortune. Niche markets are hard to enter, compared to selling cameras, DVD players or balloons. In order to start your business selling rare items you need to become an expert in the field, if you want to reach success.

Still with the incredible popularity of these products and their ease to package and ship, people want to sell them. So where can you find these products at a great price? Liquidators! Yes that’s right, Liquidators! What exactly are Liquidators? You Ask. Well, a Liquidator is a company who buys surplus, over runs, bankruptcies, and going out of business inventory etc. They purchase this merchandise for pennies on the dollar and in turn pass this saving on to you. There are many Liquidators who would have just what you are looking for. There are General Merchandise Liquidators who basically purchase and sell all sorts of general merchandise. And, there are Liquidators who specialize and only purchase and sell merchandise in a specific niche, say electronics.

An Electronics Liquidator would purchase products from music stores or department stores with an electronics dept or movie rental stores or electronic stores that are going out of business, declaring bankruptcy or who have overstock. From that inventory they would have some of the latest CD’s, DVD’s and Video Games.

Liquidators are similar to Wholesalers and Dropshippers in that you will have to become a member to have access to their inventory. Most require no fee to become a member, while others may charge a nominal fee. However, Liquidators have a set number of units you must buy in order to get a great price. A Liquidator will purchase inventory in bulk and therefore will want to sell the merchandise in cases or lots.

So, Yes You can make Good Money Selling New Release CD’s, DVD’s and, Video Games and the likes on your eBay auction by choosing the proper supplier. And remember that selling on eBay is all about research. You must research the product you are interested in selling. What is the best price for the item? What is the best selling price you can get for that item? Also, research that item’s market to see just how many people are selling this product.

Â

On an average day, there are millions of items listed on eBay. People come to eBay to buy and sell items in thousands of categories from collectibles like trading cards, antiques, dolls, and house wares to practical items like used cars, clothing, books and CDs, and electronics. Buyers have the option to purchase items in an auction-style format or items can be purchased at a fixed price through a feature called Buy It Now.

People from all over the world buy and sell on eBay. Currently, eBay has local sites that serve Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In addition, eBay has a presence in Latin America through its investment MercadoLibre.com.

EBay offers a wide variety of educational tools, features, and services that enable members to buy and sell on the site quickly, safely, and conveniently. These services include online payments by Papal, tips on safe trading, and the Developers Program for community members who would like to develop their own technology solutions.

Here is an idea that can help you develop a successful on line business on eBay, even if you are not a marketing expert. You won’t compete with high-end sellers and you will be in full control of your products and listings. This approach refers to the idea of marketing product that you create. Yes, this is not a typo; you can be very successful by selling things that you produce on your own.

OK, you won’t be selling computers, but you can sell “how to” guides related to specific computer related items. The idea is to identify the domain in which you are well informed and able to create. Maybe you have an amazing garden and your gardening tips would sell like crazy if properly presented. Maybe you bake the best cookies in town, so why shouldn’t you make some money out of selling original recipes?

Maybe you’re not sure what you’re good at! Think about this: with what occasions do most people ask for your help? Maybe you fix the cars of your entire block – start writing an easy guide to auto repairs. Don’t go technical on your potential readers – just explain to them, in plain English, what they have to do and how they can do it best. Or maybe you can’t fix anything around you but you are good at comforting other people. Put that gift to good use and write an e-book entitled “50 Easy Steps to Success in Life”.

Before you do all of the above try to test the market, try to become part of it. Check out as much of the competition as you can and try to offer something slightly different. Let’s say there are 50 books on fly-fishing, write the 51st one from a different approach, use a different language, and incorporate unique ideas. It’s not easy, of course, as you might need to read the other 50 books just to see what has been left out.

After this you need to give your product an attractive shape, a good package or cover. Maybe you should start with something small, if you want to write a book about aliens try to start by creating a short story first. Test it, evaluate the results, eliminate the shortcomings and only then prepare the book. In the end it all comes down to how creative you allow yourself to be.

When starting your eBay business, you should bend over backwards to provide exceptional service. Remember, you are fishing for compliments. When you have a positive feedback rating over “100″ bidders will look at your rating number and then make their decision on whether or not they like your product. If your feedback rating is less than a 100, people tend to actually look back through your comments and read them. Whether you are a new seller, or a veteran eBayer, building excellent feedback comments should be a daily goal. Things can start out with your own style in vending. The thriving business in eBay is really a lucrative market that can offer the best deals around the world.

There’s more to selling on eBay and other auction sites than simply listing an auction and waiting for the money to roll in. Just ask the many, many eBay sellers whose auctions go unsold every day. We’ll help you learn to sell on eBay by looking at the different skills you need to learn to sell on eBay successfully. We’ll draw from the combined wisdom of eBay sellers with years of success and will offer tips and tools that can help you join them.

Base your eBay business on something you love

To sell on eBay successfully calls for more than just following a few rules. Successful sellers do more than just list a few items and remain hidden behind the Internet’s anonymity.

The best sellers put a little of themselves into each auction to make their buyers comfortable with putting aside their uncertainty about buying from a complete stranger. Thus, the first part of learning to sell on eBay involves finding what you yourself love and what of yourself you can put into your auctions.

Learn what the buyers who share you interests are looking for

What’s makes the number one difference between eBay sellers who sell and those who don’t? Those who don’t sell look for products that they want to sell. Those who succeed at selling look for products that people want to buy.

Research is crucial to success on eBay. You can try to search for the best selling items online. Also there are forums dedicated to eBay buyers and sellers, finding the meat of the info should not be a problem at all.

Decide how you’ll meet your eBay buyers’ needs

Finding products to sell on eBay

If you’re looking for products to sell on eBay, you’ll want to check some of the most popular <a href="http://18d00vws7e-hdjgbmm1jndcocg.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >articles on our site. You’ll learn how to find products to sell that give you the best chance of success on eBay, the ins and outs of drop ship arrangements, as well as learning of some ingenious ways to find products to sell on eBay inexpensively.

Learn the nuts and bolts of your eBay business

Now that you know what your business is about, what buyers’ needs you will fill, and how you’ll obtain your products, it’s time to get down and dirty and learn what you need to do in order to run it.

Design your auctions to build an ongoing relationship with your eBay buyers

Buyers are more likely to buy what you sell on eBay when they feel comfortable with you as a seller. Learn to build a relationship with your viewers and you’ll sell more. Also, keep in mind that eBay has a reputation system to keep track of separating the good dealers from the inexperienced ones. You should aim to build up your reputations points for a good flow of trades.

Promote your auctions to attract new buyers

Promoting your products on eBay

Learn also how to promote your products on eBay through an eBay tool that many sellers still don’t use as effectively as they could. You can also build your own website to make better sales. They can aid you to make your customers take a good look at the items or have the feeling that they can have a better guarantee of the deal, Also, you can let them see what items that are related to what they are buying, thus, an upsell, which gives you more <a href="http://6456ex0lub0djp3l2ln7xpqjdu.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >income in the long run.

These are the things that you need to know when selling on eBay. You might want to visit the site first and see what it’s like. You can try to think of this later when you see how the system works and try to merge these ideas in your new place to sell. Learning to vend any of your items is really not a problem when you have the right tools for the trade. Success stories might seem so overrated, try to focus to yourself and try to be realistic on how you can make the trade, it is just likely to be the same with the real world selling, except with thousands of people around the world can actually buy them.

Having to sell them is quite a task but no means that hard. I have stated the basic things you need to start out an eBay business.

These are for the beginners who would like to make money on eBay. The proper ingredients to having your very own cyber shop are really not that demanding. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, a digital camera, and of course, products to sell.

You can sell used items you find at garage sales, from your closet, etc. You can sell new items you find at discount prices from liquidators, dollar stores and clearance sales. If you can find a supplier who will make you a deal, you’re even luckier.

Skills for the trade

Marketing Skills

You can develop these skills as you learn how to sell various items on eBay. Read some marketing books and <a href="http://18d00vws7e-hdjgbmm1jndcocg.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >articles to help yourself sell things, but really, its selling them efficiently by having your own strategy which you already got from other successful entrepreneurs online. Take time to read and plan things out. You will thank yourself later for a job well dome.

Organizational Skills

You need to keep good records of your sales and not just for tax purposes. You need to be able to keep track of which buyers have paid, which have received their items, etc. Setting up a spreadsheet with all the pertinent information should help keep this under control. You can also get <a href="http://7217f1vmub3kcme0qqpi5c19b4.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >affiliated with third party payment systems online. There are choices to choose from, however, they charge for about 1 percent of the item price but nothing is better than your clients having to be at ease purchasing your items.

Basic HTML Skills

To make your auctions eye-catching and appealing, you will want to know some basic HTML skills. There are a lot of simple and basic tutorials online. Start out by searching for html tutorials, you can choose which one you like for your convenience.

Starting up on eBay

Start by choosing a certain type of product to specialize in (ex. toys, clothes, etc.). That way, you can become an expert in those products and how to sell them effectively. You may want to expand your product line at a later date.

Getting started is easy. Create an eBay user ID and you’re on your way. Be sure to read through the eBay selling rules and check out all the tips eBay offers along the way.

Put up only a few items to start and don’t saturate your auctions with too many of the exact same item. The objective is to sell your item at the highest price. If you are selling 5 identical items, it may be harder for you to get a high price. Experiment with various selling methods and find out what works your particular items.

Online Marketing Ideas

Promote your business with your own personal web page. This can be a web page just to promote your eBay business, or it can be an online store that <a href="http://733015yl2l-jkh3cql-q0ndy5e.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >links to your auctions. It gives you a more established presence on the Internet and gives your clients a better sense of who you are.

Build a mailing list. Send out an informative newsletter on a regular basis to your subscribers. Just be sure to promote your auctions in the newsletter too.

Other Online Auctions

Don’t limit yourself to eBay. EBay is only one of the many online auction houses available, but it is, by far the largest. However, eBay’s fees can get expensive. It may be cost effective to also sell your items on other auction sites and you may face less selling competition especially if you are selling items at a fixed price. Other auction sites might be a good opportunity for you to buy items to sell for higher prices elsewhere.

So what you need is some motivation and patience to see your hard- earned money in the palms of your hand.

Just remember, you may also have fewer buyers for your products and may have a lower selling price. You will need to evaluate which is the most efficient way to sell your items.

What’s that rule again? If you haven’t worn it in six months, get rid of it? If we followed that rule, just about all of us would have a pretty decent pile of clothes that we should be getting rid of right now. What if I told you that you could earn some spare money by selling that clothing on eBay?

Selling that no longer used clothing on eBay takes a little bit of time, but is really quite simple, and you are almost guaranteed to get more money for your clothes than you would if you held a garage sale! So, where do you start? Read on to find an introduction to the basics of selling clothing on eBay.

Your first step is to sort the outfits you want to sell into spring/summer clothing and fall/ winter clothing. You will want to sell your clothing “with the season,” meaning that if it is spring now, you should be selling your spring and summer clothing. Pack the opposite season clothing away in a labeled box so you can easily find it when the seasons change.

Next, sort the current season’s clothing by size. It is best to sell all of the clothing in the same size at the same time so if one person finds something they like, they might find others they like and bid on them all, eBayers LOVE repeat customers.

It is significant to launder the clothing that you are going to sell, and steam or iron them, if necessary. It’s important that they are looking their best for the next step!

Photographing your clothing is one of the most important steps in this process because eBay shoppers need to really be able to see the clothing well since they can’t actually touch them or try them on. It is by far the easiest to use a digital camera so you can upload your photos right to your computer and then to eBay. If you don’t have your own, see if you can borrow one from somebody you know.

Most big clothing sellers on eBay use some type of mannequin, mannequins that hang on your wall can be purchased for less than $25 on eBay. to show their clothing, but if you don’t have one, you have a few other options.

You could put a simple hook in a solid colored wall, and hang the clothing on hangers from it. This works very well for just about all types of clothing, other than outfits, unless you have the special display hangers that show off a top and bottom together.

An extra option is to lay the clothing on top of a solid colored piece of fabric on any flat surface. The trick here is to take the photos aiming straight down at the clothing and not on an angle. You might have to get up on a chair to accomplish this, but it really helps because clothing shot on an angle can really disfigure things and not give the potential bidder a true idea of what it looks like.

One important thing to keep in mind, no matter how you photograph your clothing, is to have good lighting! Natural light works great, so if you can be near a large window where the sun shines in, that would work very well. If not, you might want to consider setting up a few of those inexpensive work lights with clamps to shine on the clothing from different directions.

When you are done taking your photos, upload them onto your computer and do some simple editing with the photo software that came with your camera, or any other photo editing software that you are comfortable with.

The vital things that you should do are: remove needless background by cropping the photo so the item is the focus and not a lot of background, resize the photos so they are no too large, 350 pixels on the longest side works pretty well, and improve them by playing with the brightness or color levels, if necessary. Some programs have some type of “Quick Fix” button that will do that for you.

Next, you will need to sign-up for an eBay seller’s account if you don’t have one already.

Now you are ready to actually create and launch your auction listings. If you need some help with the basics of how to do this; check out eBay’s help pages and Learning Center. Here’s one good link to check out:

Finally, you can sit back and enjoy the roller coaster ride of watching your auctions throughout the week. Keep in mind that sometimes items get the most bids during the final minutes.

Founded in September 1995, eBay is The World’s Online Marketplace for the sale of goods and services by a diverse community of individuals and small businesses. Today, the eBay community includes more than a hundred million registered members from around the world. People spend more time on eBay than any other online site, making it the most popular shopping destination on the Internet.

Did you know that most eBay sellers are full time workers in a huge variety of work domains? You may see eBay as a great opportunity to supplement your <a href="http://6456ex0lub0djp3l2ln7xpqjdu.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >income, or you may see it as a modern form of a garage sale. Regardless of your views, you can make the most out of eBay’s offer and reach an extensive audience for whatever it is that you wish to sell.

Selling your product on eBay is a user friendly, simple process. The first thing that you need to do is to create your own free eBay account. In order to do this you need to provide the site with your credit or debit card number and your checking account information. You needn’t worry about security issues, as eBay has some of the most secure servers in the world.

The second step is to choose to have your fees deducted from your checking account with eBay Direct Pay or to pay for them with your credit card. EBay charges you an insertion fee, for each item you post for sale, and a final value fee when the item is sold. The fees are low and if the item isn’t sold you don’t have to pay the final value fee. In case you do not have a credit card you can still participate to the buying and selling activities on eBay by verifying your identity for $5.

When you eBay account is ready you will have to follow these steps:

• Decide on your selling format. There are several ways to sell items on eBay and you will have to choose the one that suits your need best.

• Select a category – place your ad in a relevant context for better exposure. Its like selling them in the right place inside a huge mall. People will likely to search at that category, just don’t forget to emphasize on categories.

• Write a concise title. Titles sell the best, one-liners or what you think is best. You can make things appealing considering you have the merchandise; they can instantly pull of another sound made by <a href="http://adfb1-rvxm2dds9pn8s0t3mlig.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >cash registers on a sale.

• Describe your item as clearly as possible. EBay users search of the best image for the merchandise, you can have to improve your camera skills to attract probable customers. And of course add photos of the item in all angles. This is a very convincing argument for most buyers as they will trust your product more when they get to actually see it.

• Set your price and the duration of your auction. Having to decide on this might be a good idea when the bidding closes off, as some schemes let the possible buyers choose the buy it now option if the conditions apply, try to experiment on things that may entice them to actually buy the product at a high price.

• Make your item stand out from the crowd by using the numerous listing upgrades. Upgrading your listing makes them fresh and on top of the competition. this is fairly optional, but if you have the time to update your list, might as well do them.

• Enter Payment and Shipping Information and specify who will pay for the shipping and how your buyer will release funds for it. These conditions are critical to state. Often, confusing your prospects and make them walk away from the deal if you give them a horrible shipping

condition. Try to build their trust; after all, what you really want is to sell your items.

The steps mentioned above will take only minutes to complete, making your eBay selling experience a pleasant one. You will be asked to review all of the information you provided and then submit it. Your eBay listing begins from that moment and you can start watching the buying process unfold.

Â

More and more people try their luck at selling on eBay everyday. With all of that growing competition it is important that you do everything possible to make sure that you stand out from the crowd. By following a few simple steps you can greatly improve the odds of your auction being noticed, that browsers will convert to bidders, and that those bidders will become repeat customers. Begin practicing the follow seven tips and watch your eBay auction sales explode.

EBay gives you the opportunity to make sales from everyday items and giving you the outlet to make money from your very own online ecommerce shop. Many thousands of people are already making a very healthy living by trading on eBay and these are just ordinary, every folks like you and me.

Inundate your potential buyers with details. It is much better to provide a lot rather than a little information and this will also be a great opportunity for you to pepper your listing description with keywords. Do be sure, however, that your auction listing is informative and not filled with hype. Those extra exclamation points really aren’t going to make the sale. Actually, they will only make you look unprofessional. Also, give your readers details as appropriate such as models number, item condition, color, size, etc.

The title may not seem like a vital part of the equation, but it really is of great importance. It is the first thing people see when browsing through the auctions, so it has to not only grab their attention, but also entice them to click. Do not enter you title in ALL CAPS. This will only make you look like an amateur. Include as applicable; keywords, model numbers, seating information, brand names, item size, color, etc.

A picture is worth a thousand bids. Okay, well maybe not a thousand, but it will certainly help your item sell. Think about it; would you buy something sight unseen? Of course not and neither will the majority of buyers on eBay. Be sure to take care when photographing your item. Lesser quality photos are just as bad as no pictures at all, but if you have the resources, you should make it look good as it is to be sold. Also, the more expensive the items; the more photos you should provide.

State all of your requirements upfront. Tell potential bidders how much you intend to charge for shipping, to which countries you are willing to ship, if you will accept returns, or anything else that you might wish to specify. You really can’t make things up as you go along. You have to get all requirements out there at the beginning.

If a potential buyer contacts you with a question then be sure to promptly respond. If you wait you may lose a much needed bidder. Also, be sure to be polite in your response as no question is too stupid to warrant anything other than but a courteous reply. Even if that person doesn’t bid on your item they will certainly remember your pleasant attitude and that could mean a future sale.

The majority of buyers on eBay prefer to pay for their purchase via Pay Pal. That is why it is vital for you to accept this method of payment. Online payments these days are more secure, making it better to trade something without high risks of getting scammed. It is also beneficial to you as it eliminates the potential for bad checks or money orders.

After the sale most winning bidders will expect the seller to begin the completion of the transaction. Send an email, an invoice, alert the buyer when the item has shipped, and be sure to leave feedback after the transaction.

Making money is really a feat in the real world. But an exception in the online world comes eBay, learn to make a living or just having to raise your monthly earnings will make the best of it. It is an online community, your reputation is always important as eBay has its own system in rating people’s integrity as a buyer or seller. Follow these easy steps and see your money flow.

Of course, what we need to make a better living is to make money. There are a lot of things you can venture out along the digital world. When you are online, there is a plethora of ways to get your pocket full of money, but of course, you need to do it they way it’s meant to be. They all say it’s hard, we know that, here are some probable things to keep you on track in making money particularly in eBay.

What are the basics of selling on eBay and what does it mean to “run your business like a business?” Let’s take a look:

Set up and organize your business like a professional business –because it is. If you take shortcuts and try to operate on the cheap, you will never be taken seriously. The internet is still a scary place for some folks. Take the time to brand you business create a look and feel that your customers can relate to and one that creates a sense of confidence.

Invest in Automation early. Whether you use an online system such as Vendio, Mpire or eBay’s Selling Manager or offline software such as those made by Blackthorne, Marketbalst, or others, you want to automate from the beginning. Automation saves you time and make your operation appear and function, more professionally.

When you make some money, don’t rush out and spend it. Always reinvest in your business and keep reinvesting in your business.

Time is your most precious resource. Anything you can do to automate functions and get others to perform simple operational tasks will free you to do the management and creative tasks that will build your business.

Every listing is a reflection of you and your business. Each listing should look professional and contain keyword-rich headlines, good photos and item descriptions that are accurate, complete and that sell.

Establish sales, payment, and shipping and return policies that are both friendly and yet support your business model. Don’t be dictatorial. EBay is a community built on trust. If you trust others to do right they usually will. The percentages that don’t are quite small and you should treat it as a cost of doing business.

Build and preserve an excellent feedback reputation. Feedback is the window through which others see you. You can have great products, compelling product descriptions and super photos –but if you have a lousy feedback score, your business will suffer.

Great feedback is built by providing great customer service. Treat every customer as you would like to be treated and you will always have a high score.

Follow the rules. A lot of new sellers become frustrated by eBay’s complex listing regulations. You can’t fight city hall. EBay is like the government. Some of the rules may seem petty and unfair, but it is their platform, their business and they make the rules. EBay has been pretty good over the years of responding to member feedback. If you think a rule is stupid or unworkable, don’t push the envelop and don’t get into a fight with eBay –you will lose. Instead post your opinion on the message boards. EBay members are on the boards and they look for common threads and opinions from their members. An intelligent post will get read.

EBay is one of the most competitive marketplaces on Earth. Study and stay on top of your competition constantly –and be prepared to react to changes in the marketplace. I study my competitor’s auctions at least once a week.

Experiment, test, and innovate. Experiment with new tools and software when they become available. Test different listing and pricing strategies, new products and sales strategies. Test headlines and optional features. Innovate constantly. Always look for new ways to solve old problems.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are plenty of resources for the entrepreneur amazingly the best source of help is often other eBayers. Your direct competitor may not want to help you, but there are plenty of others who will. A post on any of the eBay related forums message board will bring dozens of responses. Once you are a seller, you need all the resources you need to have your business still flowing and in good condition.

Stuff that is being bought and sold online these days mostly comes from eBay, this trading had attracted a lot of people that would like to sell their items for a good price. They come and go like hot pancakes, just juice up the deal by making them stand out. You can always make a difference by making honest deals and build up your reputation. Here are some free eBay selling tips that might help you sell those old figurines in the attic.

Write a simple description and do not clutter your auction with unneeded items like animated Gifs, and colored backgrounds. Remember, you are selling not entertaining.

If you are selling items such as DVDs, software and designer labels, make it clear that your items are genuine and not pirate copies or fakes. Letting them know what you sell for real makes them understand your product better, hence, having little trouble when the day ends. You might end up having a bad reputation if you are selling bootleg copies when you stated they are genuine.

Charge a flat rate for shipping, and mention the shipping costs prominently within your auction description. Let potential buyers know that you are prepared to ship overseas. This will greatly increase potential sales.

Check your spelling. Items won’t sell if potential buyers can’t find them because you’ve misspelled the item’s name. Write a title that accurately describes your item. Use manufacturers name and model number within the title if applicable. Write a detailed description that allows prospective bidders to make a decision about purchasing the item. A basic tip is the description can never be too long as long as it is describing the item.

Host your own pictures. By hosting your own pictures, you will save money, and, more importantly, be able to use as many pictures as you need to adequately show eBay bidders your item. This is the simplest thing to do, and yet 70 percent of eBay sellers ignore this simple tip.

Pay the extra fee to include a picture of your product. Make sure that it is a good quality image, with no background distractions. Optimize your pictures for the web is the best way to tune out the loading times of your image. Many sellers use the highest resolution settings on their cameras and generate huge files that download very slowly. Computer monitors only show 72DPI, any extra detail is just a waste of the bidder’s time.

List your item in the most appropriate category. Many buyers’ only search eBay by looking at listings within categories. If you are not in the right eBay category you will not be seen by lots of potential bidders and you item may end up selling for less than it’s worth.

Systemize your eBay selling. Using a system to sell on eBay will lower the amount of time spent selling each item, and insure you don’t forget any important activities.

Build your positive feedback. You can do this quickly by buying and selling several small value items. This will give potential buyers confidence in you.

Be honest. If your item is less than perfect, say so. This is more likely to generate a sale as potential buyers are more likely to trust you. Being honest should also help to protect your valuable positive feedback. I once made a tidy profit on some items that were originally free; I made it clear in the copy; the buyer was pleased and so was I.

Don’t set a high starting price. This will cost you more, and could put off potential buyers. Your item will find its correct value if you have listed it properly, but it may not reach its value until the last few minutes of the auction. Be realistic about shipping costs. If you charge too little, you risk your profit. It is possible to make a small profit from shipping, but if you charge too much, you will put off possible buyers

Time your auction to end on a weekend, this is when most potential customers will be available to buy your items, and should increase the final price you get. Take advantage of eBay promotional offers; look out for special days when you can advertise your items at a reduced cost.

Now, time to get started, remember, you can only build your reputation by having good trades, having to let strangers trust you is really nonsense these days but on eBay, they make sure your points are given credit. Follow these tips and you’re on your way to making good money.
