The key resource for a leader is people. This means that if we are to assess leaders we should only use a single measure. And that is the understanding of the science of human behavior and applying these principles to their workplace. One of the most vital indicators of positive leadership is the percentage of individuals who volunteer to use their discretionary effort. This is the effort that people put into their job because they choose to do it and typically, we would call it going above and beyond the call of duty.

This discretionary behavior is always the result of positive reinforcement and never seems to exist under punishment. It seems that when the person receives positive reinforcement even if it is a personal benefit, their behavior can be consistent and long-lasting. On the other hand, when there is negative reinforcement, the person may deliver extra effort but without the same consistency and duration. The threat of negative reinforcement causes the discretionary behavior to diminish to a level of mere compliance. Whilst both types of reinforcement can produce discretionary effort, only positive reinforcement will give the sustained consistency and duration that is of value to the organization.

The very best leaders understand this situation and ensure that they contribute and deliver positive reinforcement which is certain and immediate to their direct reports. Creating a discretionary behavior can be difficult in a hierarchical structure because the leader may have to work through several layers of management. Each layer creates its own challenges because each manager will filter information that is to be passed on to subordinates. The canny leader can circumvent this problem by, with the permission of the manager, passing on positive reinforcement directly to the people concerned. This can be done in concert with the manager and becomes a powerful force in delivering positive reinforcement when this is applied this way.

The first and foremost challenge for the leader is to create an environment that encourages discretionary behavior from his or her managers. Then of course, the second challenge is to gain the managers’ cooperation in delivering positive reinforcement to obtain the same discretionary behavior from their staff.

Whilst this might sound to be quite simplistic, it is, in fact, quite a difficult process. First of all, we have to ensure that all leaders and all managers have a good practical working understanding of human behavior. This is the step which is omitted frequently. Understanding human behavior is the most important tool of the leader and manager and therefore should receive the same or greater level of importance as finance.

Values and beliefs are very deep structures and even intensive methods [such as brainwashing] can be insufficient to irreversibly change them. ~David Straker, Changing Minds – In Detail.

Seeking to change people against the flow of themselves is fraught with danger, relationally. So, then, why do we even try to do that, husband, wife, employee, manager or pastor?

These deep-seated structures–values and beliefs–are core to the people in our midst and they seem to hold them for their whole lifetimes. So, how do we work with these people in the ‘world of influence’ i.e. when we have a role to influence others for their and our own good; for the “team” goal?

The answer, I think, is to go against the whole matter of trying to influence. Our success depends mostly on the trust we have with people; how much they respect us, and us them. When we achieve these interpersonal results of positive rapport, and these people know our goals–as we seek to create influence, they will tend to want to align. We create alliances beyond the goals at hand; the bonds are stronger than the task within reach.

Changing minds comes notionally as a result of perhaps seeking the opposite–a totally rampant acceptance of peoples’ precious individualised viewpoints. How is it that we can achieve such an entwined purpose when we’re not seeking the goal itself? Perhaps it gives some credence to the fact that everyone’s values and belief systems inherently reinforce this one thing:

Everyone wants to be treated authentically, with respect and devoid of another person’s agenda. Everyone wants others to achieve their innate opinions. Everyone genuinely requires acceptance to truly thrive–in any situation, and yet this acceptance is quite simply the easiest thing to give. We only have to think passionately of the other person. But how many struggle to get beyond their own needs?

As a leader or a person of influence, surely it is others we’re in it for. Unfortunately, however, this is not always the case, and this is when we will get it all wrong. Achieving results against the grain is not only not enjoyable, it simply doesn’t work–not with sustainability in the long run.

We must start to trust people’s base values and beliefs without casting aspersions (either positive or negative) and seek to not change them. Other people’s values and beliefs are so very “them” they have nothing to do with us. Even if they did, we couldn’t change them. We can only accept this.

With so many small businesses failing to survive the first year why should a <a href="http://geordie-coach.com"title="coaching" >coaching practice or consultancy be any different? Few businesses survive the first year and coaching practices are no different, with hundreds if not thousands of coaches qualifying each month is there really a demand for their services?

Where many coaches fail is through a lack of understanding on how to effectively market their practice. Too many new coaches spend vast amounts of time getting their business branding just right, creating a polished website, ordering smart business cards they dont want to part with. But is that what your clients care about? I would say not, you clients want to know if you deliver results and if you are worth what they will be paying.

Let prospects know what services you offer, how you will work with them and what results they can expect. Oh, and if you dont have a business coach, get one. Your coaching clients will expect you to walk your talk!!!

Why is small <a href="http://newcastle-business-coach.co.uk"title="" >business coaching in such great demand? The answer is simple – it really works. Irrespective of where you are in your business, small business <a href="http://geordie-coach.com"title="coaching" >coaching can improve your results. Even if you are starting out and not making any money yet small business coaching can help you identify the steps process necessary to get started quickly and effectively. Some small business owners find that they are making just a few hundred pounds a month, if that is the case then small business coaching it can take your business to the next level with often some simple steps.

Regardless of how your business is performing my small business coaching can help you to make more money. Coaching for some business owners can be considered to be expensive especially when times are slow however what you are investing in with a small business coach is the results you will achieve.

So how can you benefit from small business coaching? Simply a small business coaching program will generate you more clients, more sales and ultimately more profit. Small business coaching can generate simple, focused and acheiveable actions which deliver fast, effective and measurable results.

The value of a good small business coaching program is that you can identify the pitfalls in your business, identify strategies for change and make more money. Not all small business coaching programs are created equal, my small business coaching programs require business owners to commit to weekly or fortnightly sessions with me for at least 3 months, ideally 6 months. The small business coaching programs I offer are not expensive or difficult to follow, they are personal to each business and results are guaranteed. Others require you to have a certain amount of experience. Some allow you to ask one question a week, while others give you the ability to have an unlimited number of questions answered.

If you have a business and you are not happy with your profits, get yourself a small business coach by contacting me today.

Money transactions can be a big gamble. This is especially true if it’s your money that you want to protect. Dealing with personal <a href="http://adfb1-rvxm2dds9pn8s0t3mlig.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >cash loans is no different. Being aware is the best way to protect your money.

You always want to know that the business you choose is a legitimate one. You may feel most comfortable going into the actual loan business. Analyzing a cash advance site online can be more difficult. As people struggle to find jobs and pay bills, online lenders promising money can capitalize. If you’re going to get an online cash advance, be confident in the business you choose. The company should have all policies and guidelines available for you to read. It’s also important to know of all fees that you may be responsible for. If a company is not transparent in its dealings then you shouldn’t do business there.

Another important factor is finding a lender with a strong lending history. You want to find a lender who practices responsible habits. The nature of the cash advance system is no excuse for weak principles. Another good rule is this: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.loans finances bailout

They are even ridden by lawyers and doctors. The renewed interest in these kinds of bikes has been caused by TV shows such as “The Great Biker Build Off” and “American Chopper”.

Not since the heyday of choppers in the 70′s, no doubt fuelled by the iconic movie Easy Rider, have you been able to find such a large range of choppers available in either kit form or already completed. In this <a href="http://18d00vws7e-hdjgbmm1jndcocg.hop.clickbank.net/"title="" >article we will attempt to guide you through the process of finding the right chopper that will give you years of service.

One of the first things you need to decide on is what kind of chopper it you want. Today there are basically three types of chopper that you can choose from.

The Bobber: This is what an original style chopper would have looked like and which were being built by US Servicemen upon their return home after the Second World War. This bike is provided with its distinctive by removing those parts which are not needed.chopper biker ride

That’s just what the middle 50% made in 2008 according to statistics published by the US Department of Labor.

Some make well above the average paralegal salary upwards of 70 thousand a year, and though some four year and two year degree programs exist for students in college interested in paralegal training or pre-law, many vocational schools, smaller programs or online colleges can get you prepped for paralegal certifications and a first internship or entry level job in just 3 months time. Even most vocational schools with a classroom environment will only last 3-9 months.

On top of that, the paralegal field is a thriving industry. The US Department of Labor expects a growth of 28% between the years 2010 and 2018; so earning the average paralegal salary isn’t as difficult as you might think.paralegal legal careers jobs employment business

When it comes to buy or sell property people always give importance to real estate agents because everyone is aware of the benefits of seeking professional services. Therefore service providers like mortgage brokers, realtors and home inspectors have always gained importance in real estate transactions. However people often overlook the real estate lawyers. But they are equally important in real estate transactions. Giving attention to them can save you from various legal hassles. Real estate lawyers will represent you from the time you sign the document to the closing of the deal.

If you are buying or selling a home for the first time you should be very careful with the paper works and transactions. In order to be safe with the document and deal it is absolutely necessary to hire a real estate lawyer. In order to make the entire process smooth you should seek advice from a professional real estate attorney. They can help you through the entire process and handle a lot of details. With a lawyer everything will be taken care of properly and you will not have any headache.Georgia Real Estate Lawyer Georgia Real Estate Attorney
