Wouldn’t things be brilliant if we all felt like a million dollars all day every day. Imaging never ever feeling like we have woken up in a pit, lacking self confidence, just having the energy to jump straight out of bed and meet the day with loads of enthusiasm and knowing that we are going to get through the day without worries of any kind.
What of those people who are imprisoned by low self confidence? For those who lack in self confidence (a characteristic inside us all) it can make you feel weak, to lose faith in your goals and dreams. It can stop you from going forward in our lives in almost everything you do; relationships with friends, family and collegues can suffer, health and wellbeing can deteriorate, negative thoughts can take hold of your mind.
Some people will seek comfort from low self esteem through changes in their eating patterns. It can change our perceptions of reality, creat mistrust, derail thinking, setting them up for a cycle of failure.
People with low self esteem can begin to constantly think that every action made is directed at them in a negative way or that they are the butt end of the joke when they see people laughing and happen to be looking their way. They may be more inclined to feel inadequate especially if they think they are being compared with others. At times there is a feeling that they cannot ever do anything right.
What would it be like to see negative in every word that is said about us. To want others to share your pain and loneliness, so that everyone around can feel equally sad. What else? Perhaps a roller coaster of self-pity, a desire to be the only person in the world with any good qualities, to want their partners to see and only desire them. To want their partners to only have fun when we are around them.
What happens to people with low self esteem is often a negative trap that works really well, the trap of low self confidence is what will trigger all the lows in emotions such as: low self-esteem, low energy levels, low sexual desires, lack of positive thinking, low care in personal hygiene, low desires in life period, loss of interest in health and wellbeing.
How can you fight a war against yourself, against low self esteem and the impact it has on your life? It can be through changing your habits. Habits are a very, very good way of creating change.
Create habits which encourage creating positive thinking, new habits that can drown out the negative stuff that controls an inner world of peace and happiness. It is not likely to happen overnight, or after the first day or two. What you will find though is that the more we feel that we are just as special as anyone else in the world, or ask ourselves, will this issue that is causing me so much pain and agony mean anything tomorrow? If this is my last day on earth, do I want to spend it like this?
Take the time to create new thoughts and habits. Feel like you are all new every morning. Nothing that happened yesterday will defeat our day today, for now. Take stock, stand back, gather your thoughts and move forward. What may seem so devastating at a point in time really is only there because we are allowing it to feel that way.
Changing your track is a very important thing. It does not matter what you have to think about in order to do that, just do it. Think about anything to get your mind to change. Eventually through practice your mind will do that on its own. Your self respect will guide you and give you strength. The higher you build your self confidence, the stronger all of you becomes. Then you will be able to defeat all of the negative emotions that fight to control your thinking. Do this for you. It’ makes no difference whether you are changing your negative thoughts and raisign your self confidence to quitting smoking, exercising, managing your weight, taking care of yourself, even cosmetic surgery. All of these changes can and should only be done with your best interest as your goal. No one else really cares in the end. How you live your life and find happiness is totally up to you, so kick low self confidence in the BUTT!
